Step by step

- Calculate total runtime needed: 1 inch of water per week in summer (less in winter).
- Split the weekly need across 2-3 deep sessions, not daily light runs.
Safety note
If your lawn dries out between waterings in under 3 days, either the zone is under-watered or the root system is too shallow. Both are fixable.
